Whew.... I Passed

I'm officially a licensed Japanese driver:) I was so worried about the test but it wasn't too hard and I only missed 1.

We had a newcomers meeting on Wednesday which took all day 7:30 - 3:00. We did get some useful information and later in the day we got to take a written DL test, if you passed you walked away with a DL. Jack was such a good sport. He sat right along with us while the other two kids were in child care. When we took a lunch break we walked down to a place called the spot on base where there was a playground and he was glad to stretch his legs.

Just some street signs. The one on the left is self explanatory. On the right is a No Parking

Max Speed limit (it's in Kilometers) If it were a min speed limit sign the numbers would be underlined

A Taxi. The green stripe reads Authorized on/off base. Not all taxi's are.

Just some FYI.... The Japanese highly believe driving is a privilege and not a right. Because of that belief it cost $3000.00 to take the test. If they fail they have to hire an instructor that cost about $30 an hour to retake the exam.
